A passion of mine is hiking and most weekends I am out exploring the great outdoors. My favourite area to hike is Snowdonia in North Wales being only one hours drive from where I live. Over the years I have been greeted with stunning scenery and I have never captured it. The main reason for this is that professional level cameras and lenses are very heavy and cumbersome and therefore require a heavy duty tripod to support them. Furthermore the lack of suitable backpacks have been an issue. However, I recently invested into a newly available light weight tripod (Manfrotto BeFree Advanced Tripod) and found an ideal camera bag designed especially for the job (LowPro Photo Sport BP 300).
This year whilst out walking, I am going to capture all the amazing scenery I see and add to a new gallery I am calling 'Footpaths of Great Britain'. New images will be added every week and I started this morning on my sunrise walk over Conwy Mountain into Conwy. I have to say, Conwy Castle in Particular looked very majestic in the morning light.
The gallery can be found here. Keep checking back for my new images!:-
