I have been Paragliding since 2005 and before the introduction of (good) action cameras in circa 2012, I used to always take my DSLR with me. Yesterday for the first time in years I took my Canon 5D MK111 and 300ml F4L lens with me and spent a couple of hours capturing the action whilst I waited for suitable conditions to fly in myself.
I was inspired to do this as I have recently been sorting through hundreds (and I mean hundreds) of images dating from between 2008 and 2012 to create a portfolio of images for Paragliding Facebook page I created and manage called 'Fly Harlech'. Each Sunday morning I post a 'memoir of the week' image to Fly Harlech and it dawned of me that I need to create good quality images for the future memoirs. It will not always be practical to take such bulky camera equipment with me every time I go flying but I will when I can. To see my Fly Harlech page click this link:-
